Who is

Kim Nam-joon

Kim Nam-joon — Vogue KoreaVOGUE KOREA

Born September 12, 1994, in Ilsan, South Korea. Leader and rapper of BTS, songwriter, producer and solo artist.

Before becoming RM he was Rap Monster — a young man writing rhymes in Seoul’s underground, devouring American hip-hop and Korean literature with equal intensity.

Today his solo work (mono., Indigo, Right Place, Wrong Person) and his presence in BTS form an artistic body that speaks of identity, displacement, nature and the human condition.
